Dear Alderwood Families,

Welcome to the new school year! On behalf of the Alderwood Parent Teacher Association (PTA), we are thrilled to welcome both new and returning families to our wonderful school community. As we embark on another exciting academic year, we look forward to working together to support our students, teachers, and staff.

The Alderwood PTA is dedicated to fostering a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and the school administration. Our goal is to enhance the educational experience for all students by providing resources, organizing events, and supporting various programs. Here are a few highlights of what the PTA has planned for this year:

1. Community-Building Events: We will host different events throughout the year to bring our school community together. From family picnics and movie nights to international night celebrations and fun carnivals, families will have plenty of opportunities to connect and build lasting relationships.

2. Educational Enrichment: The PTA will continue to support programs that enrich our children’s education. This includes funding for field trips, guest speakers, and special classroom projects. We believe these experiences are vital for the holistic development of our students.

3. Volunteer Opportunities: There are numerous ways for parents to get involved and make a positive impact. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to a regular schedule, your time and talents are greatly appreciated. Volunteering is also a fantastic way to meet other parents and become more engaged in the school community.

4. Fundraising Initiatives: Our fundraising efforts are crucial for providing the resources and programs that benefit all students. We will organize various fundraising campaigns throughout the year and hope to have your enthusiastic support.

5. Communication and Support: The PTA is here to serve as a bridge between families and the school. We welcome your ideas, suggestions, and feedback. Please feel free to reach out to us at any time with questions or concerns. We are here to support you and your children.
