pta membership

Welcome, Alderwood Community!

Let’s find out what PTA is?

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association.  PTA brings together families, teachers, staff, community members, and volunteers to support our students and our school.  Joining the PTA & becoming a member is one simplest way to help strengthen our entire school community!

PTA membership helps provide:

  • A stronger voice for our students by advocating for issues that matter to all our students & families.

  • Better communication & connection among families, teachers, and staff

  • Funding for programs & resources that are essential to enriching the school experience for our children

  • Information to families to better understand the needs and challenges facing our school, and gives parents a voice in helping to come up with a solution

PTA Membership is $25 for one member or $35 for two members. You can also sponsor a teacher for $10 to help them become a PTA member.

Please note, joining the PTA does NOT require you to volunteer or attend PTA meetings.  But of course, we warmly invite you to volunteer at one of the many PTA events during the school year, and attend General PTA meetings if your schedule allows.  We love partnering with you!
