Join Alderwood PTA — Your Support = More Success for our Students!  

Joining the Alderwood PTA is one of the easiest ways to advocate for your child, support our school, and strengthen connections with teachers, administrators, and our Alderwood community. Your PTA membership helps support essential programs, enrichment opportunities, and resources that benefit our students while also giving families a stronger collective voice in advocating for our schools. 

Irvine schools consistently achieve at a high level despite being among the lowest-funded school districts in California. 

IUSD currently receives approximately $11,861 per student, compared with $14,650 statewide and $17,277 nationally—a funding gap of nearly $2,800 per student compared with California and more than $5,400 per student compared with the national average.

Joining is easy, and there is absolutely no obligation to attend PTA meetings or volunteer—those opportunities are completely optional. Simply becoming a member helps support Alderwood and shows that you stand behind our students, teachers, and school community.

As a PTA member, you have a voice and a vote to directly influence how PTA funds are used at Alderwood Elementary School.
