Dear Alderwood Families,
I hope you all had an amazing and restful Spring Break!
On behalf of the PTA, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our entire school community. Together, we’ve reached an incredible milestone raising $80,000 for our Jog-A-Thon! Your generosity, energy, and teamwork truly made this achievement possible.
We also want to take a moment to give some heartfelt shoutouts to the incredible team who made this year’s Jog-A-Thon such a joyful success:
A special thank you to Diwakar Vashishat, our incredible Jog-A-Thon Chair, for his inspiring leadership, we are beyond grateful!
Huge appreciation to Shoko Kadowaki, who works as hard as all of us combined and lifts every event with her dedication and heart.
Our amazing support team: Zoya Shybkouskaya, Ania Pfeil, Alana Soehartono, Melody Golshani, Joyce Hsu, Lauren Lee, Ann Gagne, all our dedicated room parents, and every single volunteer who helped us along the way. Thank you for making it happen!
Thank you to Kevin Javid for his creative and thoughtful designs all year, especially the Jog-A-Thon shirt, which brought so much joy and color to our event!
And a very special thank you to Mark Pauza, who brought the magic to life by becoming our Alderwood Mascot, our running owl! His energy and joyful spirit running alongside each heat made the day extra memorable for all.
A special shoutout to Kirk McLean for his generous donation of the prize room prizes and to Joy Lin for giving us the best deals.
And finally, thank you to Yuki House and Afshin Davoudi for handling the trophies and medals that made our young athletes feel so proud and celebrated!
Whether you were helping to pass out water, cheer on students, coordinate class donations, set up, clean up, or simply showed up with a smile to support the event your time, energy, and enthusiasm made all the difference. It’s your hands-on involvement and unwavering support that create these joyful, memorable moments for our kids. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!
It was also so wonderful to kick off Spring Break together with our school wide Family Picnic. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined in the fun.
