Let’s Kick Off an Amazing Year Together! I’m Mahsheed Hosseini, and it’s an honor to serve as your PTA President this school year. We’ve already had a great start with our “Team Up with PTA” event. Special thanks to the Admin team for their support and to all the volunteers who helped make it a success.

I’m looking forward to another fantastic year together as we embark on this exciting journey to create unforgettable learning experiences for our students. Please join me in welcoming our dynamic Alderwood PTA Board.

PTA Welcome Packet: This year, in support of our commitment to environmental responsibility and our green movement, we emailed you the Welcome Packet last Friday, saving 8,600 pages of paper. You’ll find all the details about joining the PTA, the exciting programs we have planned, and the various ways you can partner with us this year. 

Teacher and Staff Appreciation (TASAW): Thanks to your support, TASAW provides each teacher and staff member with a spirit shirt, a yearbook for teachers, and special meals throughout the school year. Your donations allowed Alderwood PTA to show our heartfelt appreciation with meals during the first week of school. Please check out our social media to see what we offered. 

Step up as a Volunteer: We invite you to join us in making a difference and creating a lasting impact together, and we need your help to run these programs:

The 2024-2025 Reflections Arts Program celebrating student creativity is now underway. All students attending Alderwood Elementary are invited to participate and submit original artwork in one of six areas: 

Dance Choreography, Literature, Photography, Film Production, Music Composition, and Visual Arts. (Students can enter in more than one category but entries are limited to one per category.)

There is also a Special Artist Division, an option for students with disabilities who receive services under IDEA or ADA. Awards are given at the local, regional, state, and national levels. This year's theme is “Accepting Imperfections." Showcase your talents and submit your entries online by October 18th.

All entries will be accepted online in electronic/digital format only and must not exceed 1GB in file size.
