We hope you and your family had a fantastic spring break! Thanks to all of you, our Jogathon day, the fundraiser, prize assembly, and family picnic were a big hit. Can you believe it? We missed the stormy rain on Jogathon and picnic days and had a fantastic day. 

Your outstanding participation helped us not only meet but surpass our goal. As we shared Helen Keller's quote before, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Your teamwork truly made all the difference.

But, to keep this success going next year, we really need your help. We're looking for some volunteers. We need a Corresponding Secretary for next year; if you are interested, please email us at President@alderwoodpta.com. The Vice President position is still open. If you can help in any way, please email Elizabeth Reilly at Parliamentarian@alderwoodpta.com so you can start shadowing Katie Olson, our very special VP. 

We need more volunteers to shape the Board and keep things running smoothly. We can't wait to have you on board! 

Come join us for fun and games at the annual Spring Carnival on Friday, April 26 from 4pm to 7pm! Purchase your wristbands at our PTA Store for $20 each. (Wristbands are only required for students who will be participating). Also get ready to bid on our famous teacher cakes! 

Alderwood PTA's annual Silent Auction is coming up April 26, and we welcome parent donations of items to be auctioned off to the highest bidder! These might include tickets to sporting events, theater performances, or theme parks; gift certificates; or themed gift baskets (new items only). 

Please note donations are tax deductible, and money raised from the Silent Auction supports our students educational enrichment activities including field trips, art and technology upgrades. If you're interested in making a donation to the Silent Auction, or have any questions, please email silentauction@alderwoodpta.com.

The last day to customize your 2 (two) free pages is April 12. 

The annual track-and-field event is open to Irvine Unified School District students in grades 4 through 8, and is a key fundraising effort for the Irvine Children’s Fund, which provides scholarships for before- and after-school child care to low-income working families in the school district.
