Happy Holidays, Alderwood Families!

As we approach the winter break, I’d like to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes for a joyful holiday season and a restful winter break. I hope everyone enjoys quality time with loved ones.

A huge thank you to our Holiday Boutique Chair, Celine Benavides, and her co-chair, Melody Golshani, for their incredible leadership in organizing this special event. I also want to extend my gratitude to all the volunteers and families who supported the Holiday Boutique by purchasing gifts. It’s important to know that 20% of all the proceeds from this event will be donated directly to IPSF, which helps fund educational programs that benefit students. Once again, we’ve proven how powerful our community can be when we come together for a shared goal.

Additionally, I’d like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported our Harvest Cup program. Thank you to the students who proudly represented Alderwood and to our dedicated coaches who helped make the event a success: Geoff Brouillette, Chris Andrews, John Van Dyke, David Xu, Jen McLean, John Chong, Firas Shbeeb, Taka Yoshitaka, Anna Leavey, Sean Mitchell, and of course, Steve Tsai, who led the Tournament of Champions. Your teamwork and commitment made this event a memorable experience for our students.

Enjoy the holiday season, and thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful things we will accomplish together in the New Year!

A special shoutout to our 3rd/4th Grade Girls team for winning the silver medal and to the 4th Grade Boys team for advancing to the semi-finals.

Congratulations to Mrs. McClendon, Ms. Bain, and Mrs. Miller's classes for winning the PTA Classroom Membership Contest! Each class was awarded with a popsicle (McClendon) or pizza (Bain / Miller) party last month for attaining the highest PTA membership. Thank you to all the participating families!
